A wireless load cell is, as the name indicates, a load cell that operates wireless. A load cell is a force transducer, which is used for measuring force. It does so by converting force into an electrical signal, which can then be measured and standardized. This enables the users of the load cell to read and record the measured data. Wireless load cells are available in different versions, whose inner workings differ based on the chosen type of load cell. They are able to convert many different forces such as torque, tension, compression and pressure. The electrical signal changes proportionally to the force that is applied to the load cell. It is a widely used product in many industries, because the ability to measure weight and other forces very accurately is in high demand. Because of this, (wireless) load cells find their application in many fields and situations, wherever there is a demand for precision and accuracy. There are a couple of well-known technologies on the market for load cells, but not all of these can be used wirelessly. Examples of these technologies are strain gauges and piezoelectric technology. BoltSafe uses magnetoelastic technology, where the sensors measure the changes in the magnetic field. We offer a variety of readout methods to couple up with our wireless load cells, some of these are able to offer a fully wireless experience.
